A Fire Safety Certificate or Annual Fire Safety Statement is a crucial declaration that building owners are required to submit to the council, initially and annually.
This regulated document serves as confirmation that the fire safety equipment (Measure) in the building complies with the Building Code of Australia and Australian Standards (Standard of Performance), has been inspected and tested in accordance with AS1851-2012, and is still in good working condition.
These assessments are carried out by qualified and experienced fire safety assessors who are accredited with the NSW government through the Fire Protection Association of Australia (FPAA).
At Survival Solutions, every fire safety audit is conducted by accredited assessor and company owner Jeff Terry. With more than 30 years of experience in the fire industry, Jeff personally inspects your building after all fire safety measures have been tested, ensuring it meets all compliance requirements. Following the audit, he will promptly issue your Annual Fire Safety Statement (AFSS), giving you confidence that your property remains compliant and up to date.
With assessors operating in the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie, Newcastle, and the Hunter region, Survival Solutions can help with routine or urgent inspections.
