Fire prevention at work starts with understanding the conditions that can trigger a fire, and, if it were to start, what equipment you have available, where it is, and how it works.
At Survival Solutions, the primary goal is to foster a detailed sense of situational awareness among participants of available extinguishers, their locations, and how to use them through confidence and competency.
The educator and trainers will guide participants through about 45 minutes of engaging PowerPoint slides, discussing the three key elements for mitigating and managing a fire and for basic workplace evacuation.

To engage the participant, they point out the risks in their homes before discussing workplace risks.
They encourage participants to take responsibility for identifying and mitigating workplace hazards and ensure they understand the importance of keeping firefighting equipment and exit paths clear and ready for use by all building occupants.
A discussion as to the types of fuel found at work, where the potential ignition points might be and if there are procedures to manage that risk.
In line with the theory, a practical training session is conducted using a gas-operated live-fire training unit controlled by the trainer.
Each participant will then be guided through the PASS acronym and encouraged to use a fire extinguisher.
At the completion of the training session, each participant received a statement of attainment for future reference or employment.
